How did your application process go?
My application first took place at the IU International University. After successful conclusion, the documents were sent to Cognizant Mobility. I was invited to a aptitude test and then to a personal interview. Here we discussed my ideas and motivation for the dual study program.
What has been your most exciting project so far?
My personal highlight in my current project was creating a component myself and integrating it into the existing software. This allowed me to get to know and understand the functions and interaction of the other components better.
How would you describe your dual study program in 3 words?
Balanced, exciting and challenging.
You are about to graduate. What's your next step at Cognizant Mobility?
I would like to follow up my bachelor's degree with a master's degree. Since we also employ working students in HR, I could very well imagine continuing to work at Cognizant Mobility as a working student alongside my Master's degree. I would also like to keep open the option of studying part-time. What is clear to me, however, is that I would like to stay with Cognizant Mobility.
What has been your highlight of the dual study programme so far?
There have already been many small highlights in my dual studies - sometimes it was a very good grade or an assignment that I successfully completed and received praise for. The highlight will (hopefully) be the successful submission of my bachelor's thesis in Spring. 😉
What is special about the dual study programme at Cognizant Mobility?
There was extensive on-the-job training right from the start. Through the mentoring program, everyone is assigned to a mentor, so you feel directly picked up. After a while, I was able to take on small projects on my own and help shape processes. The team is always open to new ideas, which I could contribute at any time. In this way, I was able to put a lot of what I had learned at university into practice.
What do you do as a dual student of business informatics?
I work in a team on the conception, development, and implementation of software projects. I program in different languages and technologies, carry out tests, use modern development frameworks, take care of technical communication, and participate in communication with our customers.
What makes your dual study program special?
I can apply theoretical knowledge directly in the real working world. Through regular assignments in the company, I get a deep insight into the practical implementation of IT solutions and the application of software development methods.
Why did you choose Cognizant Mobility?
Cognizant Mobility offers me the opportunity to work on challenging and diverse software projects in the automotive industry, which fits perfectly with my interest in software development and the automotive industry. Cognizant Mobility's corporate culture also emphasizes continuous training and personal development of employees, which is important to me to constantly improve my skills.
