In embedded function and software development, we work on
battery management, computer vision, and precise positioning systems. Whether in cars, agricultural machinery, or other commercial vehicles, we develop intelligent vehicles. Embedded Software means precise and effective programming on µC/CPUs.
We look after project management and agility in the areas of Aftersales, Connected Car and E/E. We take care of service delivery management. In this context, we take over service delivery management. We are responsible for software development and DevOps projects throughout the entire life cycle. Our focus is on the planning and control of the project, the management of the employees and the support of the customer.
On the one hand, we develop vehicle architectures on the logical, functional, software and hardware levels. Our expertise includes the bus systems in the vehicle such as CAN, FlexRay and automotive Ethernet. We are responsible for analyzing, specifying, creating concepts, integrating, and securing all system functions.
We research new technologies in order to be able to develop the resulting requirements for the competences. Our projects include head-up display, development of charging sockets, controlling the development of steering wheel electronics and function development for transmissions of combustion vehicles.
We design future-oriented system architectures from requirements management through logical architecture, software, and communication design according to AUTOSAR to hardware architecture. We support OEMs in overall vehicle development, across the entire design and architecture development.
We support our customers in the development and maintenance of large IT projects in the backend. The thematic scope ranges from IT security (automotive security backend) to vehicle parts systems to functionalities of vehicle networking (connected car). In agile implementation, our focus is entirely on modern Java and cloud technologies.
We develop customized systems for our customers, with focus on the development of aftersales business systems for parts and maintenance service. We offer the entire lifecycle from the requirements to the subsequent operation of the product. We work with modern software development technologies.
We are responsible for the conception, architecture, and development of software solutions with a focus on digitalization. We design and develop IT solutions for E/E vehicle development, connected solutions, sales/marketing, after sales and data analytics, combining our expertise in E/E and IT.
We accompany customers with our professional expertise in process management, requirements management and project management tasks. With us, new processes are defined, old processes are optimized and the bridge between systems and their process requirements and the users is built.
In our Talents Program, we support employees in achieving their development goals every year. Our talents are the architects of their personal and professional development journey. They work on selected projects, challenging tasks, and benefit from standard training as well as individual coaching, mentoring, and a broad network.

How was your participation in the Talents Program?
I participated in the Talents Program from 2021 to 2023 after being recommended by my supervisor. The program provided me with the opportunity to transition from my previous role as a technical project manager to a general project management role. What was particularly valuable was the hands-on experience I gained in a specially selected project where I successfully stepped into the role of a major project manager.
What did you find particularly beneficial, and what challenges did you encounter?
In the program, I found it particularly positive that it offered various development possibilities. It wasn't mandatory to become a leader; instead, I could, as in my case, focus on my professional development in the role of a major project manager. This allowed me to acquire new skills such as planning and conducting management meetings and project planning and coordination. An outstanding experience was the feeling of organically growing into the role without the need for a specific target to work towards, essentially driven by my own motivation. The associated challenge of stepping out of my comfort zone and entering new areas of responsibility allowed me to grow both professionally and personally.
What lessons learned do you take with you?
I take valuable insights from the program. The training provided a solid theoretical foundation, but the real challenges came with the project, which proved to be extremely instructive for me. I learned how to fulfill my new role as a major project manager, shape colleagues into a team, show initiative, and consistently work towards my goals. The opportunity to participate in events and regular meetings as part of the program allowed me to build a larger internal network and a deeper understanding of the company's internal processes, which has proven to be extremely helpful for my professional development and continues to benefit me in my current position.
What did you find particularly good, and what challenges did you face?
The challenges in the program were diverse. Additional tasks alongside regular daily operations required structured work and personal responsibility for one's own development. Direct contact with CEO Jörg Ohlsen and our site manager in Unterschleißheim, as well as involvement in the IT sector, allowed for a cross-functional development that transformed me from a project leader into a project manager and team leader.
Participating in a pilot project was particularly formative, where I not only improved my time management but also dealt with cultural differences inherent in the international project business at Cognizant Mobility. The learning process in the Talents Program combined learning by doing with online training. Special highlights were the Insights training and the expert interview, which I enjoyed.
After the Talents Program, everything in your career is different: What do you take with you, and what do you want to share?
After a year in the program, I am convinced that this experience has significantly influenced my professional development: I am now a team leader! In this role, my task is to form teams, find common goals, ensure cohesion, and meet customer requirements in complex projects with our team's expertise. Additionally, I can now recommend employees for the program and mentor them. For future participants, I recommend choosing projects related to their own expertise and customer needs. Initiative and building strong customer relationships are crucial. The Talents Program was not only a professional but also a personal enrichment that I fondly remember and recommend.
In Fulda, our focus is on embedded software. We are responsible for the area with around 70 employees and develop intelligent commercial vehicles, using precise and effective programming based on the respective hardware stacks.
Our competence center for vehicle diagnostics, with a primary focus on commercial vehicles, is located in Hamburg. Our dedicated employees have been passionately involved in all aspects of vehicle diagnostics for over two decades, from development to after-sales.
In Ingolstadt, around 40 employees work on electronics development and IT solutions. The cooperation with different customers turns out to be particularly exciting.
Our main location in Munich is home to our large E/E and IT departments with around 550 employees. Here we find a lot of departments from system integration to test automation to data science and AI.
For us, Nuremberg is all about cyber security. From here, we serve our automotive customers with our "security-by-design" approach, in which we pay the utmost attention to security requirements as early as the development stage.
In Rüsselsheim, we design, develop and test functions and systems in pre-production and series development, as well as in aftersales. With around 50 employees, we work in the area of system engineering for Automated Driving functions, among other things.
In Stuttgart, we oversee technology development for all aspects of the software-defined vehicle. Here, we are responsible for all areas from classic software development to cloud IT and electronics protection.
Our location in Unterschleissheim concentrates on E/E integration and complete vehicle validation of several vehicle series. Software and hardware components are put through their paces before they are offered to the end customer/driver, e.g. as comfort functions.
In Wolfsburg, we have been designing, developing, and testing user software for our customers for over 20 years. Here we work with around 60 employees in the areas of IT solutions and process- and method consulting.
We also offer most positions remotely. That means you decide which model (presence, hybrid or remote) suits you best.
